Membership Terms & Conditions
These terms cover your membership of the Run to Sip running community and your use of the member dashboard at members.runtosip.com. By registering or logging in, you agree to them. They apply to this app specifically — the runtosip.com store (hosted on Shopify) has its own separate terms for any purchases.
1. Who we are
The service is operated by Asociația Run to Sip, a Romanian non-profit association, CIF 53165824, registered office Aleea Vergului nr. 2, bl. 16, sc. A, et. 7, ap. 27, Sector 2, București. Contact: contact@runtosip.com.
2. What the service is
Run to Sip is a free community running club. The member dashboard lets you register, log in with Telegram, get a personal check-in QR code, and see your own attendance, points, streak, badges, and the club leaderboard. There is no fee — membership and the dashboard are free, and there is nothing to buy to use them. We may add, change, or remove features over time.
3. Who can register
You must be at least 16 years old to register yourself. This reflects Romanian law on a minor’s own consent to data processing — the registration form checks your date of birth and will not create an account for anyone under 16 without verified parental consent, which we do not currently have a process for. You must give accurate information when you register and keep it reasonably up to date.
4. Your account and QR code
Your account is personal to you. You log in through your own Telegram account, so keeping that account secure is your responsibility. We issue you an opaque check-in QR code that identifies your membership at events — it is yours to use for checking in and is not meant to be shared. We may regenerate your QR (for example if you ask us to, or for security); an admin can help if yours stops working.
5. Acceptable use
Please use the service honestly and only for its purpose. In particular, don’t: check in for runs you didn’t attend or on someone else’s behalf; try to access another member’s account or data; attempt to break, overload, probe, or reverse-engineer the app or its backend; or use it to harass others or break the law. We may suspend or remove access that is abused.
6. Your data and privacy
How we handle your personal data is described in our Privacy Notice, and browser storage in our Cookie Policy. You can request a copy of your data or ask us to erase your account at any time — erasure removes your personal details and keeps only an anonymous record of attendance dates, as explained in the Privacy Notice.
7. Availability and “as is”
We offer the service on a best-effort basis and free of charge. We don’t guarantee it will always be available, error-free, or that check-in data will never need correcting — if something looks wrong (for example a missed or wrong-date check-in), tell us and we’ll try to fix it. The dashboard’s stats are for community fun, not an official record.
8. Limitation of liability
Because the service is free and community-run, to the extent permitted by law we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss arising from using it, and our responsibility is limited to putting right problems with the dashboard itself. Nothing in these terms limits any liability that cannot be limited under Romanian law — including your statutory consumer rights.
9. Changes and ending membership
You can leave at any time by asking us to erase your account. We may update these terms; if we do, we’ll change the date at the top, and continuing to use the dashboard means you accept the update. We may also end or suspend access if these terms are seriously or repeatedly broken.
10. Governing law
These terms are governed by Romanian law, and any dispute falls under the competent courts of Romania. As a consumer you may also use the ANPC’s alternative dispute resolution (SAL) route — see the badge in the footer — and you can contact us first at contact@runtosip.com to try to sort things out directly.
